AE-FUNAI Postgraduate Admission Requirement
Before applying for AE-FUNAI School of Postgraduate Studies and obtaining the Alex Ekwueme University PG application form, there are certain requirements you must meet to prove you are eligible for admission. Below are the requirements.
1. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
- Graduates of the Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu Alike, Ebonyi State, or other Universities recognized by the University Senate who has obtained a Bachelor’s Degree with at least a Third Class Honours.
- Holders of HND at Upper or Lower Credit level passes or its equivalent in relevant areas.
- Candidates who hold qualifications other than the ones mentioned above which are acceptable to the Board of the School of Postgraduate Studies and Senate of the University may also be considered for admission.
2. Master’s Degree
- Graduates of the Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu Alike, Ebonyi State, or other Universities recognized by the University Senate who has obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant disciplines with at least a Second Class Honours with not less than 3.0 CGPA on a 5-point scale and 2.4 on a 4-point scale.
- Candidates with relevant Postgraduate Diplomas from the Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu Alike, Ebonyi State, or other Universities recognized by the University Senate with at least credit level passes with a minimum of 3.5 CGPA on a 5-point scale or 3.0 on a 4-point scale.
- Candidates whose First Degrees are unclassified but have at least 60% average score (B level).
3. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)
- Graduates of the Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike or other Universities recognized by the University Senate who has obtained master’s degrees that are appropriate for the proposed fields of study shall qualify for consideration for Ph.D. admission.
- Candidates must possess a minimum of 4.00 CGPA on a 5-point scale or 3.00 on a 4-point scale in their master’s degrees. Candidates who possess at least a B level (60% average score) at master’s degree provided that research work formed part of the master’s degree programme shall also qualify for consideration for Ph.D. admission. Those with a CGPA of 3.50 – 3.99 on a 5-point scale will be considered for admission to the MPhil/Ph.D. programmes.

How to Apply for AE-FUNAI Postgraduate Admission Form 2023/2024
- Visit the University website at funai.edu.ng and click on PG Application under ADMISSIONS main menu item.
- Enter your Mobile Number. We will also use this mobile number to contact you regarding your application.
- Click on submit button and then complete the Invoice Registration form.
- Print the Invoice Slip and make payment in the bank or pay online with your debit card.
- Return to the Portal and complete the application form.
- Fill in your correct referee’s details such as email for online reference confirmation.
