The National Open University of Nigeria will start giving admission two months after NOUN Post UTME screening exercise has concluded. But you can check your admission status frequently via the official JAMB Portal.
Is NOUN Admission List Out for 2023/2024?
Has the National Open University of Nigeria started giving admission for 2023/2024? When will NOUN admission list be out? This is to inform all Post UTME and Direct Entry candidates that participated in the National Open University of Nigeria Post UTME screening exercise that the school management has released the names of admitted students for this year’s academic session.
All Post UTME and Direct Entry candidates who participated in the screening exercise can now check if their names appear on the first batch or NOUN 2nd batch admission list 2023/2024. The National Open University of Nigeria admission list batch B and batch C can also be accessed via the NOUN admission portal.
If your name doesn’t appear on the first or second batch, you can also check NOUN 3rd batch admission list 2023 in order to be sure you have been offered admission.

The National Open University of Nigeria 2023/2024 admission list includes the names of students who applied for this year’s Post UTME screening exercise and meet all the requirements for admission. To check the National Open University of Nigeria admission list 2023/2024 academic section, follow the procedures outlined below.
How to Check NOUN Admission List 2023/2024
- Visit jamb.org.ng/efacility.
- To access the list, log in to your Jamb profile with your username and password.
- Scroll down the home page and click on Check Admission Status.
- Select your Exam year and Enter your JAMB registration number in the required field.
- Finally, to access your admission status, click on ‘Check Admission Status’
- You will either see Congratulations! or Not Admitted, or admission in progress check back later.
How to Check Admission Status on NOUN Portal
- Go to the official portal at nou.edu.ng.
- Select Admission Status Link.
- Enter your JAMB registration number in the space provided.
- Click on Check Status to know if you have been admitted into the school.
If you have been offered admission, you need to proceed to JAMB CAPS portal and login with your JAMB profile. The system will display your dashboard showing your admission details. Click on ACCEPT to show that you have accepted the admission offer.
Remember to print out your admission letter after accepting the admission and proceed to pay your acceptance fee and NOUN school fees as soon as you can.
Note: If you see “admission in progress, check back later“, you need to be patient and check back later as instructed. This is because names are uploaded in batches and subsequent batches will be released. Just check back after some weeks and you will see Congratulations! You have been offered admission. Also, if you see Not Admitted, just be hopeful! Do not panic. You might still gain admission.
